Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of BottomLine Technology's ("we," "us," "our") hosting, connectivity, VoIP, and other related services (the "Services"). By subscribing to our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. We may modify this AUP at any time, and it is your responsibility to remain informed of its current content.

Prohibited Uses. You may not use our Services for:

1. Illegal or Fraudulent Activity: Any activity that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, including but not limited to POPIA. This includes storing or transmitting illegal content, fraud, money laundering, or the infringement of intellectual property rights.

2. Security Violations:

   • Gaining or attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, or data.

   • Interfering with services to any user, host, or network ("denial of service attacks").

   • Distributing malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other destructive code.

   • Any activity that disrupts the integrity or performance of our network or the services of other customers.

3. Spam and Unsolicited Communications: Sending, distributing, or facilitating unsolicited mass email (spam). All marketing communications sent using our infrastructure must comply with POPIA's direct marketing rules.

4. Offensive or Harmful Content: Hosting, storing, or transmitting any content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

5. VoIP-Specific Abuse:

   • Using the service for auto-dialing, continuous call forwarding, or call spamming.

   • Attempting to avoid charges or defraud BottomLine Technology or other carriers.

   • Using the service in a way that adversely affects our network or other users.

Enforcement. We reserve the right to investigate any violation of this AUP. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

• Issue a warning.

• Suspend or throttle your Services.

• Terminate your Services immediately, without refund.

We may also report any illegal activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and cooperate in their investigation.

Reporting Violations. If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately toinfo@bltech.co.za
